Are you looking for the perfect family hike in Alicante? Hiking with kids is not only possible, but can be fun and a great way to get them connected to the outdoors at a young age.
As you can see in the picture, if there is something at My Flats´family that is kids, (specially girls!), that is why our last hike was a visit to the Albir lighthouse in the natural park of Sierra Helada.
We can totally recommend it whether you have your little ones with you or not, the views are breathtaking!
The route that leads to Albir´s lighthouse, consists in five kilometres, round trip, by a perfectly signposted paved road, without any possibility of getting lost. Ideal for families or people with reduced mobility, as it can be done with children’s strollers as well as wheelchairs. Being asphalted and not having much slope makes it perfect for children or for the ones that want to take it easy as well.
I could tell you all about the route and the amazing views of the Spectacular Bay of Altea and Calpe with the Peñón de Ifach as a gateway and also of the mountains, the Sierra de Bernia, the Ponoig, Puig Campana, Cabeçó d’Or and the city of Altea…….but you better see it for yourself.
Don´t forget to bring water and sunscreen, you will need it even in winter time.
Get ready to make beautiful pictures and if you do so, share them with us in Instagram (@myflatsalicante), we really like to see our friends having a good time in Alicante.
Have a great week!
